Shoulda Coulda

The body mends in amazing ways! Monday was a "oh dear God" kind of day, with my left knee swollen to mellon-like proportions. Sadly, the knot that marked my right Achilles injury from before the 2007 marathon was back as well. Beer was drank, TV was watched, sleep was had. Tuesday was better, all things swollen were less so, and most of the general muscle pain was dissipating. Today, Wednesday, things seem pretty good. I went from sitting to upright without once invoking the good Lord's name, and the "Achilles knot" seems less pronounced. I shoulda, coulda rode the stationary bike to get back into the athletic swing of things .... but I opted for beer and steak night at the Tavern (a tasty steak; some say the best steak, for the money, in all of Houston).

Looks like I won't get to take the group cruise from Galveston in late February, but instead will get to London for work; score! Well, it's actually Leatherhead, not London, but it's on the island somewhere. Back to Auburn in two weeks for Spring recruiting and a trip home for my Mother's birthday. And I still need to decide if I want to run Austin. And I still need to get hotels for Hood to Coast. And vans for Hood to Coast. And decide if I'm participating in a Spring running program. And do I still want to go to the doctor to see if I need orthodics for my feet? And I've got to figure out why is my IPod always out of charge?!? Busy busy, but not overwhelming so; things are good.
